the one that got away

They say that feeling of that one love affair that existed in your life, the one that gave you shivers down your spine, the one that gave you butterflies (and still does) in your tummy, the one that you dreamt of every night, the one you shed tears over, will never go away.

Mine has lasted over a decade.

And will never cease to fade.

The only difference is that my love affair was not one with a boy but one with New York. It was short and sweet. It took my breath away. It caused my heart to palpitate in ways I could never have imagined. It gave me chills when I breathed in its life. It broke my heart fourteen years ago when I knew i wouldn't be back. That one relationship I can't let go of, the one that holds my heart in an unimaginable grasp.

The one that got away.

Moleskin edition: Javier Pacheco

Inspiration emulating.
(e.x.t.r.e.m.e) Moleskin envy.
Strokes of a creative mind.

Pages from his moleskin that look like pieces that could be hung up my wall.
Javier Pacheco has made me smile this one Tuesday afternoon and has reminded me that
sometimes its not about getting that one piece perfect.
Sometimes it's doodles in a little sketchbook that can be the ideal piece in itself.
Reminds me that being a perfectionist may be part of my procrastination.
And he reminds me that perhaps letting loose once in a while shouldn't be too bad.

.sketchbook diaries: camila do rosario.

Goodness, the pages of this moleskin make me happy. Camila Do Rosario makes me happy.
She mixes fabrics with sketches, layers words and notebook paper with her beautiful drawings and her dainty details make her lines so wonderful to look at.

The vintage feel to her pages. The use of old negatives. The slides, postcards and stamps.
I am absolutely fascinated and captivated... and of course, totally inspired. I can't stop looking at her work.

.sketchbook diaries (moleskin edition).

Stephanie Brown on Flickr. Love her weird sketches, red faces, typography, and her delicate black and red pen lines.
This is pure Moleskin envy.
Makes me want to head straight out to the bookstore and purchase this extremely expensive sketchbook. But I won’t…. yet.
